Before you go back to the shop with your product, have a look at the following ‘frequently asked questions’ first.
What should I do if I’m missing a part?
Send an email to Identity Games. We will aim to help you within 48 hours.
Single Game Records The Initials Game Show
Can I play a mystery more than once?
Just like in a real Escape Room you can only play the mysteries once; after all, it’s no fun if you know the solution. The game itself, though, can be played again. You can reprint all the items that you use during play (indicated with a print icon) via the website.
Are there any expansion packs on the way?
Yes! Keep an eye on this page for news of the expansions.
Where can I find the items so that I can print them again?
On this website click on the adventure for which you want to reprint the items. Click on downloads and the items will be displayed. Click on the item and the pdf will open or be downloaded instantly. Please note: a lot of items are double-sided. You can print these as a double-sided print or if you don’t have that option you can print two single-sided prints and then stick them together.
Where can I find the solution to the mysteries?
On this website click on the adventure for which you want to download the solution. Click on Walkthrough and you’ll be given a question about the game, which you will need to answer. This is to prevent you accidentally downloading the solution before you’ve played the game. Click on show walkthrough and you’ll be given a pdf to download.
Chrono Decoder
Please note: if you’re not going to play the game for any length of time, always remove the batteries, to prevent leakage.
When I enter a correct code it says that it’s incorrect.
The batteries may be empty. Make sure you have new batteries in it every time you play so that you know for sure that they are not almost empty.
Single Game Records The Initials Games
The Chrono Decoder doesn’t turn on when I flick the switch on the bottom to ‘on’.
As soon as you’ve inserted the batteries in the Chrono Decoder and flicked the switch to ‘on’ the display should light up. If it doesn’t, check whether the 3 AA batteries are completely full and that they have been inserted the right way round. The correct position is shown in the battery well.
Is it possible to pause the Chrono Decoder?
No, it isn’t possible.
Can I play on once the 60 minutes are up?
Yes, you can: the Chrono Decoder will start to count from 0 to 60 again, so you can see how many extra minutes you need to complete the mystery.
The keys pop out whenever I try to enter the code.
Push the keys firmly and hold them down with your fingers. The Chrono Decoder will register whether you have entered the correct code.
APP
Where can I download the free app?
You can use the app to listen to exciting background music for each theme and to share a selfie on social media showing your final time. The app is available to download in the appstore or the Google Play store. Search using the keywords: escape room the game.
Is the app also designed for my phone?
We have done our absolute best to make the app available for as many phones as possible, but there is a chance that the app won’t work on your phone. Never mind; you can still play the game as normal. Let us know which phone you’ve got and which operating system you use, and we’ll look at the options.
I can’t see the app in the appstore or Google Play store.
In that case, the app isn’t available for your phone.
