If you’re a fan of tower defense games and enjoy popping balloons, then get ready to spend a few hours with Bloons Tower Defense. In this game you will have to wage war against seemingly never ending waves of balloons using a wide range of towers that are fitted with special abilities.

Simple graphics but well thought out gameplay

Bloons Tower Defense might not impress you when it comes to graphics as they are rather basic. The plus side is that unlike a lot of tower defense games that look good, this one has a well thought out concept and design for the towers and how they can be combined.

You get 19 towers and other balloon popping helpers which you can use throughout the game. As you overcome each wave, you unlock new towers with diverse roles and attack methods. The game seems to be tailored to the younger demographic as the attack animations and explosions are fairly childish but they do have a certain charm.

Earn cash and upgrade your towers

As you eliminate more and more balloons, you get money which you can use to upgrade your towers. Each upgrade offers it specific enhancements such as an increased range, attack speed, damage or imbues it with various attack modifiers that slow or freeze balloons.

Though a simple looking game, Bloons Tower Defense has its fair share of diversity and combinations that you can create with the available towers. Additionally if you feel that the game game is easy, you can choose from maps with different layouts and have tougher mobs running around.

Fun and challenging

To sum things up, Bloons Tower Defense is a really nice and entertaining game. If you’re looking for a bit of casual tower defense fun, you can certainly give this one a try.
